The congress center
The new congress center represents a successful bridging between working sphere and spare time. Surrounded by a forest of pines, overlooking the sea, the installation not only offers a suitable frame for relaxation. The two architects Jesús Ulargui Agurruza and Eduardo Pesquera González, two of the most talented new generation architects of Spain, created with the congress center an ideal place for conferences, seminars and congresses, but also for theatre performances and cultural events such as film festivals.
Architecture follows the typical low rise building style of Ibiza, but Ulargui and Pesquera knew to take better advantage of the lighting conditions than most other constructors of the cubic country houses. The window fronts are extensive, and in addition depending on daytime natural light break in trough some ceiling modules. Beside an entrance hall, which can also serve as exhibition hall, the congress center has a large hall with scarcely 500 seats and most modern technology. In addition there are two congress halls with a capacity of 100 persons as well as eight rooms with a capacity of approximately 40 persons.
The congress center can be rented the whole year over for meetings. A new five-star hotel in direct proximity offers high quality overnight accommodations.
